BIO

I received my PhD in Human Geography in 2020 from Umeå University, Sweden. After defending my thesis The Geography of Entrepreneurship. Regional and individual determinants of new firm formation in Sweden I worked as a PostDoc at the Center for Regional Economic Development (CRED) and the Institute of Geography (Economic Geography Unit), Bern University.

Research

My research interests are focused on the role of entrepreneurship as an instrument to improve the circumstances of less advantaged regional economies as well as individuals with skills that are less valued on the labour market.

Prior to pursuing academic career, I have been involved as a project manager and specialist in building ethical and inclusive financial systems in Eastern Europe and Central Asia as well as governmental programs aiming to improve competitiveness and innovativeness of the Polish economy.
