BIO

I obtained my PhD in Human Geography in 2018 with the thesis “Relatedness through kinship: the importance of family co-occurrence for firm performance”. I have since been part of different projects answering various research questions around regional development, skills matching, immigration and labour market effects. I am currently a Senior Research Assistant at the Department of Geography at Umeå University. My research interest concerns geographies of family co-occurrences, familial entrepreneurship, family businesses and regional development, immigration, structural changes and differentiated regional development. I am currently working on a project exploring the labour market outcomes of green industrialization in northern Sweden. I am also a recipient of the 2017 Best Paper award in Regional Studies, Regional Science (with Rikard Eriksson and Urban Lindgren).
